Chapter 7:First kill

Later, after Van Rossen left giving her his address just encase she wonted to see him, Colera returned to Storn who has been storming about fuming a little distance away. Walking offer to the obviously irritated man she calmly asks "You ready to leave yet?" He places hid hand on her shoulder in a decisively possessive manor and in a low snarl answers. "Quite, I have only been waiting for you."His words are slow and deliberant, meant to be forceful with out the requirement of him speaking up. "Tell me, Who was that man you were just talking too?" Being a rather possessive man Storn strongly dislikes seeing Colera take the initiative on anything and wanted to know about anyone she associated with. For the first time seance leaving her room Colera smiles, this time for real. She is in her element and is beginning to realize that while her captor may be used to places like this his is not one born to them. Here she actually has an advantage. She knows how to survive in this world, sees been surviving in this area seance she was a small child. She glances at Sterns hand which is grasping her shoulder a tad bit tighter then necessary and simply responds. "Just some strange fellow about as crazy as you are. That loony bird Believes that there are creatures every ware. Lets go, I've got a date to keep with an old friend of mine."

She gently removes his hand, turns on her heal with a bit of a flourish and heads for the exit. For the first time seance she awoke in the morgue she is beginning to feel at ease. She is about to rid her self of a major problem, her way, with out getting her hands messy. Steven is likely to take the small crazy man apart limb from limb and she knows from experience how to evade Steven. With any luck she truly believes that she will soon be home in her own bed with her own cloths and dear Johan. Steven follows her out with Storn exiting behind both of them unnoticed a remarkably short distance behind.

No one within the bar notices any of them exit by threw the back door into the ally in back. Dank and dingy little to no light filters in from the street. This is not a part of town that is commonly frequented by city workers. When one of the street lights burns out it can take weeks or months to get fixed. Colera moves around the old rusted dumpster, checking to see if there is anyone around looking for cans or something half-way edible. Making certain that there will be no witnesses to what ever is about to happen hear in this cold, rat infested passage. No one who might find themselves hurt under circumstances out side of their control, circumstances that have nothing to do with them. Seeing no one she smiles to herself as Steven stumbles out of the bar. The tall man pauses as his eyes begin to adjust to the dark he calls out softly "Hay, sweet thing you back here?"

Colera turns around at the sound of his voice and responds "I'm here, but I don't think there's to much about me that's all that sweet." Spotting her by the dumpster Steven saunters over and reaches out to embrace her with a lustful sneer on his face he whispers a little bit loudly "Thought maybe that was one of the things about you that's different. You wouldn't mind showing me what all about you is has changed now would you?" Steven moves closer to her in a not so subtle attempt to give her a large kiss as she skillfully slips from his grasp and arms Storn slips up from behind. Steven takes her evasive movement as a game and smiles as he attempts conversation. "I wasn't sure that you would actually be here. Thought maybe ya had something' up yer sleeve." She smiles as she moves a little farther down the alleyway in order to make her good byes as quickly as possible when the fighting begins. "Oh but I do and it's right behind you." Steven pauses a moment then laughs. "So what was it about you that's different. You look the same. Play the same sort of games. What's going on." Steven has learned from experience that Colera is not on to be rushed, or grabbed, unless she wants to be grabbed. It is evident to him that at this time she really doesn't want to be grabbed, but he is very curious as to what would bring her back to this place at this time. As he waits for a response Storn knocks him down from behind. Steven looks up to see clearly the ivory white fangs flashing in Sterns diabolical grin and the jaundiced eyes that seem to glow with an unnatural light from some places within. Colera sees them as well. Storn snarls threw his hunger frenzy "I see from your actions and words that you have had chance to meet my fledgling at some point during her past life." His words seem to hiss menacingly from his lips. Steven, for the first and last time in his life is actually terrified beyond his whites as Storn continues his hands pressing his victim to the ground with a string unnatural strength. "Come along my Darling child, Its time for your first Taoist of the sweet nectar of eternity and life."

Colera is struck at first to her spot, seeing the truth for what it really is in the dark dismal neaborhood of her youth. She finds it hard to believe the evidence of her eyes. She stand rooted to the spot until Storn lays open the that of a man she has long despised and avoided. The sight of blood draws the burning hunger that has been clouding her thoughts with out her even being aware of it to the surface. Unable to resist the need her own fangs emerge and she moves in for the kill, even as her mind tells her that this is the opportunity for escape she was hopping for. Everything is finished before she becomes the least bit aware of the enormity of the strange and bewildering events. They leave the body in an ally farther down the street. Colera follows Storn is a strange and bewildered daze as she attempts to make sense of all that has happened.

----------------------------------------------------

Back in an ally behind some bar a hobo of sorts discovers the body of a largish man. He hurries over to a pay phone and leaves an anonamuse tip at the police station as to the were about of the body.

-----------------------------------------------------

She couldn't believe it. In spite of the evidence of actions. In spite of clearly seeing Sterns fangs in the moon light. It was all so clear in her head. Even when she joined in she couldn't believe what was happening. Even as the facts of the nights events haunt her she can't see how she could participate in that. She felt sick, but there was no way in the world she would let Storn know that. She had expected something normal, like a stabbing or shooting, not biting into the man and feeding of him like some sort of parasite. The mere fact that the compulsion was unbearable once the bleeding had started and that it actually soothed a nagging, burning drive with in her only serve to full her disgust. She hurries up the stares of the town house to the room that she has been keep in and slams the door. She flings a large expensive vase at the curtains that are the only evidence that there may have been, at one time a window in the room. As it shatters on the masonry that blocks all light from outside she spots the paper from the day and see the head line.
