Born in the year 2011 Ashley ( auspect ) Smith was one of the first elves born into the newly awakened world. Ashley was the youngest of five children born to June Vander-Smith and Dustin Smith. She had one sister and three brothers. In 2018 her sister and one of her brothers ( Victoria and Brian - fraternal twins ) suffered goblinization, Victoria, who had been quit attractive before, became a troll and Brian was transformed into an ork. They were 23 and the two of them disappeared from the hospital. Ashley has never found out what happened to them. In 2020 she lost the rest of her family to an avis out break.%r% Orphaned and very much alone Ashley quickly found her self "Falling threw the cracks" of the system She learned that very few people wanted to take care of an elf - and the ones who were willing to foster her did so only to make her an example. Ashley ran away when she was 12 in order to escape the abuse. It didn't take her long to learn how to take care of her self. A 12 year old elf alone on the streets looked to be an easy target to a lot of people so she had to fight for everything had or wanted - including her life. %r%She learned how to pick pockets when she was 13 and how to throw a knife at 14. When she was 15 she discovered that she had a talent for magic and began learning how to use that gift to improve her safety. By the age of 17 she had developed a real knack with spirits and discovered that she could easily call them up to guard her in her sleep. She was 20 when she had her skin pigmentation altered.%r%Ashley does what she has to in order to get by, whether its something as mundane as dancing in local clubs or a potentially dangerous run. She learned early that people were not particularly trust worthy. While she occasionally has let individuals get close she has never really trusted anyone. But then, when one lives their life in the shadows paranoia is a survival trait.%r% Now a days Ashley has a place of her own - an old warehouse that she is in the process of renovating. While she has put in a fairly nice bathroom and a variety of movable dividers her "Kitchen" hardly deserves its designation. The kitchen area contains a refrigerator, shelving system, a small sink and microwave. Beyond that she hasn't bothered with. What is the point of having a stove when one has never learned how to cook?
